About Flying is built by an airline pilot. The app focuses on repetitive calculations and planning steps where a clear result, readable layout, and dependable offline access are more useful than another general-purpose flight website.
It is not intended to cover every part of flight planning. It is a small collection of practical tools designed to do their specific jobs well.
The tools
- Crew Rest Calculations for readable rest blocks, active countdowns, and QR sharing.
- Time Calculations for UTC offsets, 24-hour clock arithmetic, and a focused Time Calculator.
- Sunrise & Sunset calculations using route or waypoint workflows.
Offline and privacy-focused by design
Core calculations run on the iPhone. The app requires no account and does not depend on a calculation server. Support or crash information is sent only after the user chooses to submit it.

Clear boundaries
About Flying supports pilot workflows; it is not an operational authority, navigation system, weather service, dispatch system, or certified flight-planning product. Pilots remain responsible for checking results against current regulations, company manuals, standard operating procedures, dispatch information, and other approved sources.
